The Indie rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis), an aa criwd the greater ane-horned rhinoceros an Indian ane-horned rhinoceros, belangs tae the Rhinocerotidae faimily. The Indian rhinoceros ance ranged throughoot the entire stretch o the Indo-Gangetic Plain, but excessive huntin reduced the naitural habitat drastically. Theday, aboot 3,000 rhinos live in the wild, 2,000 o which are foond in Indie's Assam alone.[3]

It is the fift lairgest land animal.
