Description: Family :Malvaceae Distribution: Through out tropics and sub tropics.Common in waste places and along road sides. Under shrubs, stems minutely hoary pubescent,leaves broadly ovate, dentate, stellate hairy above glaucous beneath, flowers 2-3 cm across, axilary, soitary, golden yellow, flower opens in the afternoon after 2-00pm. Calyx5, corolla 5,adnate below to the staminal tube. Stamens numerous, free aove.carpels many, styles as many as carpels. stigmas small, capitate. carpels with thin tomentum and scattered tufts of hairs.Schizocarps 1.5cm across, carpels longer than calyx, seeds reniform, blackish brownand stellate hairy.
