Sonchus oleraceus (Common Sowthistle) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Asia, Africa, Cerrado, Europe, and Caatinga. They have simple, broad leaves and achene. Individuals can grow to 0.79 m.
