Sonchus (Sowthistle) is a genus of herb in the family Asteraceae. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by clouded yellow, Spotted Cucumber Beetle, Chauliognathus pensylvanicus, and Variegated Fritillary. Individuals can grow to 2.1 m.
