Lepomis gibbosus (Pumpkinseed) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family sunfishes. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic. They are diurnal carnivores. Individuals can grow to 40 cm. They have sexual reproduction. They have parental care (female provides care and paternal care). They rely on swimming to move around.
