Desmodium tortuosum (Dixie Ticktrefoil) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Espirito Santo, Puerto Rico, SãO Paulo, Amazônia, Cerrado, Sergipe, RondôNia, Mato Grosso, Ceará, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Alagoas, Paraná, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pará, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pampa, Distrito Federal, Piauí, Pantanal, GoiáS, Rio De Janeiro, The Contiguous United States, Roraima, U.S. Virgin Islands, ParaíBa, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. They have compound, broad leaves and blue flowers. Individuals can grow to 9 feet.
