Desmodium (Ticktrefoil) is a genus of shrub in the family legumes. They are climbers. They are native to Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, Eastern North America, Puerto Rico, US Minor Outlying Islands, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Flowers are visited by Psaenythia, hornet mimic hoverfly, Common Eastern Bumblebee, and Stizus. Individuals can grow to 2.1 m.
