Asplenium serratum (Wild Birdnest Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family spleenworts. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Amapá, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina, Pará, Piauí, Espirito Santo, The Contiguous United States, Mata Atlântica, Puerto Rico, Mato Grosso, U.S. Virgin Islands, SãO Paulo, Bahia, Amazônia, Alagoas, GoiáS, Paraná, Pernambuco, RondôNia, Maranhao, Ceará, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, ParaíBa, Acre (Brazil), and Roraima. They have simple, broad leaves. They have alternation of generations.
