Pteridium arachnoideum arachnoideum is a subspecies of herb in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. They are native to Espirito Santo, GoiáS, SãO Paulo, Alagoas, Cerrado, Caatinga, Pantanal, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pernambuco, Paraná, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Roraima, Ceará, ParaíBa, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Rio De Janeiro, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pampa, Distrito Federal, and Santa Catarina. They have bipinnate + pinnatifid leaves. They have alternation of generations.
