Planaxidae sunt taxinomica familia parvorum et minutorum gastropodorum pantropicorum et marinorum superfamiliae Cerithoideorum, qui in litoribus saxosis in zona litorali regionum tropicarum et subtropicarum habitant.[2] Congregari in locis humidis aestus recessu solent.
