Valeriana edulis (Tobacco Root) is a species of perennial herb in the family Caprifoliaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Sphecodes, Icaricia saepiolus, Conophorus sackenii, and Orange-legged furrow bee.
