Valeriana (Valerian) is a genus of herb in the family Caprifoliaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Alaska, Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, and Canada. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Moroccan Orange Tip, Aglais io, Codatractus valeriana, and Microtia. Individuals can grow to 0.8 m.
