Phaethornis superciliosus (Long Tailed Hermit) is a species of birds in the family hummingbirds. They are listed in cites appendix ii. They are native to The Neotropics. They visit flowers of Heliconia schumanniana, Heliconia juruana, Palicourea lasiantha, and spiral ginger. They are diurnal. They rely on flight to move around.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
