Platygyra contorta Veron 1990

Platygyra contorta (Lesser Valley Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Lesser Valley Coral form shallow marine sediments. Lesser Valley Coral form marine reefs. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
