Oedogonium spec. Oedogonium forms unbranched filaments which are attached on stones or plants. After each binary fission the axial cells get rib-like marks on the cell wall. So the number of ribs indicate the number of divisions the cell has undergone. The scale bar indicates 25 µm. Sample from a little creek near Kiel.
