Description:
Oedogonium spec. Oedogonium forms unbranched filaments which are attached on stones or plants. After each binary fission the axial cells get rib-like marks on the cell wall. So the number of ribs indicate the number of divisions the cell has undergone. The scale bar indicates 25 µm. Sample from a little creek near Kiel. This image was taken using Zeiss Universal with Olympus C7070 CCD camera.Image under Creative Commons License V 3.0 (CC BY-NC-SA). Mikrotechnik: Zeiss Universal, Kamera: Olympus C7070. Creative Commons License V 3.0 (CC BY-NC-SA).
