Brown above with yellow on upper legs; whitish-yellow below with extremely fine gray speckling, underside of tail brighter yellow. Measured: SVL 50 mm (2 in.), TL 89 mm (3 in.). Found under timber, beneath bark of fallen trees, and crawling exposed when lantern-walking Fern Canyon Trail at night.

Scattered individuals found beneath fallen oak limbs. Adult measured: SVL 51 mm (2 in.), TL 102 mm (4 in.).

Discovered under logs and bark. Common, as many as four located beneath single, large sheet of bark and coexisting with Aneides ferreus and Batrachoseps attenuatus. Female: SVL 44 mm (1 in.), TL 88 mm (3 in.); female: SVL 51 mm (2 in.), TL 90 mm (3 in.); male: SVL 44 mm (1 in.), TL 90 mm (3 in.); male: SVL 51 mm (2 in.), TL 105 mm (4 in.).
