They are native to Tocantins, Rio Grande Do Norte, Caatinga, Rio Grande Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Mato Grosso Do Sul, RondôNia, Paraná, Mata Atlântica, Amazônia, Pará, Santa Catarina, Ceará, SãO Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Bahia, Cerrado, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, ParaíBa, Mato Grosso, and Piauí. They have simple, broad leaves and berries. Individuals can grow to 0.79 m.
