PODETIA: 10-45 mm tall, cups well-formed, unbranched, coarsely sorediate all over, often scaly toward the bottom
APOTHECIA: brown if present
CHEMISTRY: medulla K- or slightly brownish, PD+ orange-red, UV- (fumarprotocetraric acid)
