Limenitis archippus (Viceroy) is a species of butterflies in the family brush-footed butterflies. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to The Nearctic. They visit flowers of Indian-hemp, goldenrod, Spotted Trumpetweed, and pale Indian plantain. Individuals can grow to 70 mm.
