Dioscorea bulbifera (Air Yam) is a species of perennial herb in the family Dioscoreaceae. They are climbers. They are native to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Northern Mariana Islands, Réunion, Senegal, Liberia, Africa, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Tanzania, Vietnam, Australia, Côte d’Ivoire, Thailand, Asia, Cambodia, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, The Philippines, Palau, Marshall Islands, Uganda, Solomon Islands, China, Saint Helena, Ghana, Micronesia, Sierra Leone, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Bhutan, Myanmar, Guam, Laos, Madagascar, India, Malaysia, and Mauritius. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Individuals can grow to 3.8 m.
