Geranium aristatum Small, sp. nov
Perennial, the caudex branched. Stems diffuse, several dm. long, hirsute, the branches with rather long internodes ; leaf-blades reniform-pentagonal in outline, 4-8 cm. wide, hirsute on both sides, pale-green beneath, 3-5-parted, the divisions coarsely toothed or cleft, the terminal teeth lanceolate ; pedicels hirsute; sepals awn-tipped, the outer ones 13-14 mm. long, the bodies ovate-oblong, hirsute; petals white, 14-16 mm. long, nearly rounded at the apex; style-column about 15 mm. long, finely hirsute ; carpel-bodies 5-6 mm. long, hirsute.
