Distribution: N/C Venezuela (Cojedes), Isla Margarita, Colombia, Brazil (Rio Cotinga region in Roraima [ROZE in 1996]), SW Guyana [KOK et al. 2003]).
Type locality: Caracas, Venezuela.

Colombia from east of the Andes throughout the Ilanos orientales eastward through northern and central Venezuela.

Type: Not stated in the original description; syntypes stated to be ANSP 6804-05 according to Malnate, 1971, Proc. Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia 123:345-375[367].

Type-locality: South America; restricted to Caracas, Venezuela, by Roze, 1955, Acta Biol. Venezuélica 1:453-500[486].
