Ensifera is a suborder of Orthoptera. There are 15133 species of Ensifera, in 2181 genera and 16 families. This suborder has been around since the pennsylvanian sub-period. It includes groups like Raphoglidae and Vitimiidae. Reproduction is oviparous. They are fast moving animals.
