Pleurosigma elongatum is a species of diatoms in the family Pleurosigmataceae. They are native to SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Norte, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pará, and Pernambuco. Dead Pleurosigma elongatum form siliceous oozes.
