Colony more dense in spring than in summer. Lorica clearly curved; in the side view anteriorly cylindrical, posteriorly pointed and curved. Lorica to 50 microns long; front part 20-30 microns and curved posterior part 15-20 microns. Cyst to 15 microns large.
