Chaetoceros aequatorialis is a species of diatoms in the family Chaetocerotaceae. They are native to Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, and SãO Paulo. Dead Chaetoceros aequatorialis form siliceous oozes.
