Weissia controversa (Controverial Weissia Moss) is a species of woody plants in the family Pottiaceae. They are native to Mata Atlântica, North America, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, GoiáS, Cerrado, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Sul, Paraná, Bahia, and Espirito Santo.
