Dicranella micro-divaricata Paris 1900

Plants small, 5–6 mm high, yellowish green, gregarious or in loose tufts. Stems erect, simple; central strand absent. Leaves erect to loosely appressed when dry, erect-spreading when moist, lanceolate, 1–2 mm long, abruptly narrowed from an oblong-ovate, somewhat sheathing base to a long, subulate acumen; margins plane, entire or finely serrulate near the apex; costa slender, shortly excurrent, smooth at back; upper cells linear-rhomboidal; lower cells shorter, 16–30 µm × 4–6 µm, becoming subquadrate near the base. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves differentiated, with a distinct sheathing base and a long, subulate acumen, somewhat squarrose. Setae straight, 3–4 mm long, yellowish brown; capsules oblong-ovoid, slightly curved and inclined; peristome teeth lanceolate, divided nearly to the middle, vertically striate and reddish brown below, sometimes perforate. Spores not seen.
