They are found in the indo-malayan realm, Oceania continent (Australia, NZ and islands), australasia, The Neotropics, and Afrotropics. They are nocturnal. Individuals can grow to 52.5 mm. They have sexual reproduction. Reproduction is oviparous. They rely on running to move around.
