Orthonevra nitida (Wiedemann 1830)

Orthonevra nitida is a species of flies in the family Syrphidae. They visit flowers of rocky mountain sumac, aromatic aster, white snakeroot, and common buttonbush. They are diurnal. Individuals can grow to 5 mm.
