Body spindle-shaped and subcylindrical, and head anteriorly compressed. Other diagnostic characters include scaleless abdomen, horizontally placed pectoral and pelvic fins, 35-36 scales along the lateral line series, dark brownish spots in the predorsal region and along the sides of the body, relatively bigger head, deeper body and smaller mouth; hump-like shape in the predorsal region of bigger specimens (Ref. 75068).Description: Dorsal fin iii,8; Anal fin ii,5; Pectoral fin v,11-12; Pelvic fin ii,7 (Ref. 75068).
