Vicia sativa (Common Vetch) is a species of annual herb in the family legumes. They are climbers. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have compound, broad leaves, purple flowers, and dry fruit. Flowers are visited by Boloria euphrosyne, brimstone, Silvery Blue, and Megachile circumcincta. Individuals can grow to 5 feet.
