Acalypha (Copperleaf) is a genus of shrub in the family Euphorbiaceae. They are native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii, and The Contiguous United States. Flowers are visited by Lasioglossum scobe, Pasites gabonensis, Braunsapis bouyssoui, and Ceratina ericia. Individuals can grow to 4.8 m.
