Onobrychis viciifolia (Esparcet) is a species of perennial herb in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have compound, broad leaves and red flowers. Flowers are visited by Trachusa byssina, Andrenine bee, Bombus rupestris, and Shrill carder bee. Individuals can grow to 2.5 feet.
