Much-branched shrub or small tree. Branches long and drooping, green and grey-velvety when young. Leaves opposite, subsessile, linear-oblong, up to 7 × 2 cm, grey-green, somewhat fleshy to leathery, velvety; margin entire. Flowers in terminal or axillary branched heads, very small, greenish-yellow, with conspicuous glands among the stamens. Fruit subspherical, c. 5 mm diameter, purplish with a whitish bloom when ripe.
