Uredinia chiefiy hypophyllous, numerous, scattered, sometimes crowded, roundish or oblong, 0.1-0.3 mm. across, tardily naked, pulverulent, chestnut-brown, ruptured epidermis conspicuous ; urediniospores obovate or ellipsoid, 15-23 by 21-29 jLt ; wall goldenyellow, 1.5-2.5 M thick, rather sparsely and strongly echinulate, the pores indistinct, 2, equatorial.
