Pileus fleshy, thin, convex, becoming umbilicate or centrally depressed, gregarious, about 2.5 cm. broad; siu-face glabrous, pale -tan-colored when moist, paler when dry, margin sometimes striate on drying: context with a farinaceous odor and taste; lamellae rather crowded, subarcuate, adnate or slightly decurrent, whitish: spores broadly ellipsoid or subglobose,
5-6 X 4-5 ii: stipe equal, glabrous or slightly pruinose, concolorous, 2.5-5 cm. long, 2-4 mm. thick.
Type locality: Albany, New York. Habitat; Under or near pine trees. Distribution: New York.
