Amorpha canescens (Leadplant) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and United States. They have compound, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Phyllobaenus subfasciatus, Eristalis stipator, Two-spotted Bumblebee, and Leaf-cutter and Resin Bees. Individuals can grow to 4 feet.
