Description

Erect perennial herb with several stems, up to 45 cm tall, growing from a woody rootstock. Basal leaves in a rosette, 4-19 cm long, elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, clasping at the base, greyi-hairy on both surfaces. Leaves along the stem much smaller, decreasing in size upwards, linear-lanceolate, grey woolly on both sides. Capitula 1-1.3 cm in diameter, forming a lax to dense panicle. Involucral bracts spreading, shiny bright yellow, 6-seriate, up to 3-13 mm long, ovate to narrowly lanceolate, acute. Florets yellow.
