Physical description
provided by INOTAXA archive
This species is closely allied to B. squamosus, but can be recognized by the more elongate thorax, the more convex eyes, and by the setæ on the elytra being depressed and differing very little from the scales, so that at first sight they escape detection; the rostrum is flat in front, without depression or fovea.
I have seen only two examples of B. globipennis; they differ a little from one another in colour, and this character is probably of but little importance.
