They are native to Cerrado, Tocantins, Amazônia, Distrito Federal, SãO Paulo, Ceará, Piauí, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Mato Grosso, Sergipe, Maranhao, ParaíBa, Bahia, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio Grande Do Sul, and The Neotropics. They have achenes.
