Maytenus (Mayten) is a genus of tree in the family Celastraceae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN. They are native to Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and The Contiguous United States. They have loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Nomia rufitarsis. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
