Chamaefistula falcinella (Standley) Britton & Rose
Cassia falcinella Standley, Contr. U. S. Nat. Herb. 18: 102. 1916.
Branches terete or somewhat angled, cinereous-puberulent. Stipules linear, falcate, 10 mm. long; leaflets chartaceous, shining, oblong-ovate, glabrous, 5-8 cm. long, abruptly longacuminate; glands borne between both pairs of leaflets, narrowly cylindric, pointed; inflorescence axillary or somewhat paniculate above, puberulent, the racemes small, much shorter than the leaves; bracts linear or linear-lanceolate; sepals oblong-ovate, obtuse, 4 mm. long; petals about 13 mm. long; ovary densely pubescent.
Type locality: Near San Felix, eastern Chiriqui, Panama. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
