Lindera benzoin (Northern Spicebush) is a species of tree in the family Lauraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, North America, and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and white flowers. Flowers are visited by False Honey Ant, Epimecis hortaria, Ant-like longhorn beetle, and Winter Firefly. Individuals can grow to 3.7 m.
