Heuchera americana (American Alumroot) is a species of perennial herb in the family Saxifragaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and North America. They have simple, broad leaves and loculicidal capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Triepeolus lunatus and Dialictus. Individuals can grow to 0.4 m.
