Ulmus rubra (Slippery Elm) is a species of tree in the family Ulmaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Western North America, Eastern North America, Canada, United States, North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves, yellow flowers, and samaras. Flowers are visited by Svastra compta, Pseudopanurgus compositarum, Gorytes atricornis, and Eastern Hornet Fly. Individuals can grow to 27 m.
