They are native to North America, Canada, United States, Western North America, and The Contiguous United States. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Camberwell beauty, Andrena macoupinensis, and Boisduval's Blue. Individuals can grow to 5.9 m.
