Tamarix aphylla (Athel Tamarisk) is a species of tree in the family Tamaricaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Somalia, Morocco, Yemen, Mauritania, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Sudan, Libya, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Eritrea. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Queen, Honey bee, and Papilio polyxenes rudkini. Individuals can grow to 13 m.
