Nyssa sylvatica (Sour Gum) is a species of tree in the family Nyssaceae. They are native to United States, Eastern North America, Canada, The Contiguous United States, and North America. They have green flowers and drupes. Flowers are visited by Andrena atlantica, Elegant Grass-veneer, Colletes thoracicus, and False Honey Ant. Individuals can grow to 95 feet.
